The Rotting Cavity
The Rotting Cavity is a large rock formation which juts out of the water and is shaped like a hollow black tooth overgrown with moss, algae, and vines. Inside the cavity a massive tunnel leads down into a huge, dank, sub-terrainian cavern. The Krakens of Death heavily guard the cavity and use the deep caverns as their fortified home base, keeping their biggest ships inside the tooth. Platforms and bridges are built in the cavity but are dangerous and barely safe to even attempt walking across. Certain caves have been slightly increased in size artificially but done with such a messy hand that its a wonder that water from the sea has not flooded all of the caves and everything in them. Cannons are hidden on top with moss and vines so an unsuspecting ship getting near may be shot down and destroyed.

Purpose / Function
The rotten cavity was originally just a rock formation out in the middle of the ocean but The Krakens of Death adopted it as their hideout and ever since have stored their things there. While at first it was only their ships over time they discovered that they could use the caves to store other things and since have their loot, barracks, and armory all in the cavity.
Alterations
The cavity has had many bridges and platforms built to traverse around it since its creation. Certain tunnels have also been artificially increased in size in certain places over time. rooms and storage units have been carved into the walls and on top of the cavity cannons are ready to fire at any incoming intruders. The caves have been filled with furniture and the like to suit their individual purposes as rooms.
Architecture
The architecture of the cavity is messy and haphazard. The krakens do not care for beauty nor do they care for safety so it is mostly just wooden platforms connected by nails or old moldy furniture. They make little effort to clean off moss, algae or vines and the cavity is very damp so most of the wood is filled with rot and has turned black in places. Any stone that has been carved away appears messy and like it was done with little care for symmetry or aesthetic.
History
The rotten tooth was not adopted as a hideout for The Krakens of Death until the third captain of the Krakens found it and decided that it would be suitable as a hide out. She helped quite a lot with making the cavity what it is now but a lot of the work was done by her son and predecessor, Captain Gums.
