Varnan

This small town in the grasslands of northern Shalerad provides much of the crops produced in the county.
The town has been attacked several times over the past few months by raiders from the hills to the northeast. The baron has started recruiting adventurers and mercenaries to look into the problem, but the pay offered is not enough for most groups with solid reputations, so the problem has persisted for a while.
