Magistrate

A title granted by a noble to a person giving them the rights to try and and judge cases. This also allows them to issue warrants, and assemble forces to seek out criminals and fugitives under those warrants. Most magistrates are given specific rules to work under by the nobles granting them the title, such as no nobles may be tried by the magistrate and those cases must be brought to the noble to hear.
