Harvest Festival Tradition / Ritual in Kyrn | World Anvil

Harvest Festival

A festival celebrating the harvest each fall. It varies by region. Generally, this festival is celebrated in the agricultural regions. Cities celebrate it too, but to a lesser extent.

Execution

The Harvest Festival is generally held after the last of the crops have been taken in, but due to the unpredictable nature of farming, sometimes the Harvest Festival occurs before everything is harvested. The two most important aspects of the Harvest Festival are the ceremonies dedicated to Rabab, led by the local druid circle, and the Harvest Dance. At the Harvest Dance, many young couples announce their plans to wed after a summer of courting.
