Firbolg

The Firbolg are a quiet and reserved when around outsiders, but they are joyful and festive amongst their own kind.  Inhabiting the northern province of Brid, they tend to keep to the forests in their own small villages, only occasional leaving them for trade or matters of great import.
The typical Firbolg is a farmer, that supplements their harvest with hunting and fishing. Those that do leave their small settlements often seem sad and withdrawn and homesick.
