The Mortal Races Slay the God of Magic

In a time immemorial, it is believed that the mortal races created the first of the dragons, Divran to slay the god of magic. According to legend, they gathered the pure essence of the seven elements and brought them together at the peak of Mt. Samekh. By suffusing one of the mortal races with the power of the elements, they came together as Divran, and ascended into the heavens to do battle against this god, and from Divran's blood came the first of the chromatic and metallic dragons. However, when the god of magic was slain, his absence made way for an aspect of the current god of Magic, Simone. The ritual left the elemental power in the world greatly diminished, and left the mortal races with less magic than before.
