Temple of Tyu

Temple to the God of Gambling, Tyu. Typically depicted as a furry dragon, Tyu is worshipped by beings who like to take chances whether that is in actual gambling situations, or just in life. Devout followers will often go to a Tyu Temple, all of which are also gambling dens, and purposefully lose a game that they know they would have won, thus "giving" luck to another so that it may return to them multiple times over. This can often lead to some strange situations when multiple people are trying to lose at the same time. Some of the common games at the Temple of Tyu include:   The Smiling Lady Rules: 5gp buy-in. Each player rolls 1d8, keeping the die hidden. Each player has the chance to raise the bet, call the bet, or stand. It continues when all bets are equal. Then each player rolls a 1d6, keeping it secret as well. A final chance to raise, call, or stand. Each remaining player rolls 1d4. They all reveal the 1d8, 1d6, and 1d4, adding them all. Winner takes 80% of the pot (the other 20% goes to the casino). Ties split the 80%. Sleight of Hand can give a reroll; Deception can force a fold.   Tyu’s Favor 5 gold pieces minimum buy-in “Roll the dice and may Tyu be with you!” Rules: Players roll 2d6. If they add to a 7 or 12, the player wins. Gamblers can double the bet to add 1d6 to the total.   Gamblers' Brigade 5gp buy in from all players. Try beat the total score of your opponent. Roll as many d6's as you wish but if you roll a single one, you lose. Winner gets 80% of the pot.   In-Between 1 gp per round, 2gp payout. House rolls two d6. Players roll 1d6 and try to get a number between the two. If the house rolls sequential numbers, the players win if they roll either of the numbers.   Let it Ride 1 gp minimum per round. Players and House roll a D4, bet, D6, bet, D8, bet, D10, bet, D12, bet and D20. House gets to roll one additional D8 and D20. Goal is to get the most of a single number as possible. Players double their bet if they beat the House.   Twenty-One 10 gold minimum: A player will roll 2d10 dice. The dealer will do the same, but only if the dice will be publicly revealed. Players and the dealer then have the option to roll as many additional dice as they see fit. However, there is a catch. You cannot exceed 21 as the sum total of your dice, or you lose the game automatically. If a dealer rolls a natural 21 from the start, the player(s) loses. If a player rolls 21, the dealer loses. In the case of ties, the winnings are split. Note that all die sides keep their face value except for the 1, which will be treated as both 1 and 11, depending on what you need at the moment of your roll. If both you and the dealer have 21, you get a 1:1 payout from your bet. If your roll places you over 21, you bust, and your bets are immediately forfeited. Players win all other bets at a payout of 3:2.   Go BIG 10 gold bet. Players bet on a D100 roll. Closest to the roll gets 80% of the pot. In the case of a tie, the pot is split.
