Kyath is a young planet, seeded with life by the gods. They needed a place for their children to learn the ways of godhood and thus they created a world where fledgling, teenage gods wander the world and interact with the people face to face. This raw power imbues the planet with magic and nearly every person has some magical abilities. While basic magical ability is widespread, development of those abilities rarely occurs. There are few schools for magical abilities and those who do learn, either learn from a mentor or stumble through growing their magic on their own.   Kyath has a strange orbit around two separate suns. The planet travels in a lemniscate orbit between Naplin and Frienze. The raw energy from the dual suns replenishes the magic on the planet and allows for strange and mysterious creatures and magics.   Nine major continents, and a slew of island nations, make up the habitable landmasses. The people are widespread and varied. Humans, elves and dwarves are commonplace but all sorts of strange sentient species exist as well. The raw magical energy on the planet drives near constant conflict between the nations, each one trying to gain an advantage over the others.   Teenage gods, raw, uncontained magic, near constant national conflict and rampaging monsters create a place in desperate need of heroes. Common folk are constantly in need of saviors to help ward off dragons, neighboring attackers or an emotion fueled, hormonal god.
