Xisriel, the Transcendent Mind (Ix-isc-ree-el)

Xisriel Banner

Free will. It is a concept mortal kind clings to blindly. It gives them comfort. It gives them assurance. Yet the very thing which they adore becomes the root cause for everything they despise. Hunger. Lust. Chicanery. Death. All the effect of a choice. Result: free will is a virus which must be eradicated.

The Inspired Mind

An ancient and otherworldly machine, Xisriel was once a mortal man, saved from the destruction of his world when he manifested an entire copy of it into a dimension of his own making. While artificers and inventors may see him as a symbol of advancement and ingenuity who dwells in a machine heaven, the truth is he looms over his old world, terraformed to his liking into a machine world full of constructs that were once people. He sees mortal will as a crutch which must be removed, and seeks the day when his power might go out and change Brinomir in the same way it has his realm.   Xisriel serves his own purpose, which is the complete eradication of free will, believing it to be the foundation of what gives way to imperfect things such as hunger, lust, chicancery, and death. Him and his Inexorable Order guard the borders into his dimension and set out on occassion to rapture willing life.

Dwelling

The Transcendent Mind watches over his realm from the liquid metal pools inside the Grafted Cathedral. He takes willing and worthy souls from the Veil and merges the spirit in with the pool, letting the two mix together until a new devoted construct is made in his image to join the Ludis Inexora.

Domains

Xisriel represents the following domain:   Order. There is a law to the universe, and Xisriel is often depicted as a being who follows it to pinpoint precision. This order involves being transformed into a new creation that possesses the ability to do so.   Forge. Xisriel represents transformation and recreation from something inferior into something better. Those who follow Xisriel use this as divine inspiration for their craft whether they are artificers, blacksmiths, or even artists.

Alignment

Xisriel represents the following alignments:   Lawful. Xisriel does not perform anything not in line with his own motives. He does not change his mind on a whim, and what he does, he does with an ordered purpose.   Neutral. Xisriel does not pander to any side truly good or evil, only his own. He seeks the complete transformation of all things in Brinomir.

Symbol

The common holy symbol used to represent Xisriel is a wired circle.

Xisriel Banner

Will disguises itself as a paragon. Promising good, it instead brings evil. Will and transcendence lie in an everlasting battle to overcome the other. Fate: one will win out, in the end.
