Palious Dictatorship
Structure
The dictatorship is passed from parent to firstborn child. The dictator's spouse has no real power.
History
For around two years, starting in 79 ET, conservative dissidents in the Prochor Democracy took to the streets in protest of new legislation. Following the lack of change, they mass-emigrated to Voreio in 85 ET. Two years later, the Palious Democracy was established. In 460 ET, however, a dictator took power. The Palious Dictatorship has remained relatively stable ever since.
Demography and Population
The population is entirely human, and all Kata are banned.
Territories
They forcefully control most of Voreio.
Military
They hold no planetary navy. In fact, they have not militarised space in any way. The country could be easily overrun by almost any other geopolitical power on the planet.
Technological Level
High-tech items are available, but not utilized.
Religion
There are many Pollans and Atheists within the borders. The state, however, mandates a Pollan worship. The Atheists in the border perform the rituals, but they do not believe in the religion. No other religions are present.
Agriculture & Industry
This state's main export is agricultural. They grow only enough plant-based food for the population, and only grow surplus meat -- Kata cannot eat meat, and the state fosters a strong hatred for the Kata.
Trade & Transport
Surplus agricultural goods are generally traded to Prochor, and the people here have little economic dependence on any other nation.
Education
Public education is not mandatory, but it is free. Most do not go to school. Emigration is difficult, but many wish to do so, and emigration of publically-educated citizens is illegal. Private education is available for an extremely high price.
Infrastructure
Water sources are scarce, and the population is supplied with fresh water through large and numerous desalination machines. Again, the state does not have any infrastructure in space, and it grows most of its food within its borders.
