Founding of Ataeria; the First Centralized Government

Founding

The clan of Akraleia formed the first organized and centralized government, known as the Nisileon of Ataeria. The Ataerians had cemented a domain which collected taxes and provided protection over various cities and villages across several islands. The founder, whose true name was lost to time, is known as the First Nisileus, with all of his successors taking the title: Nisileus.

  The oldest official state to ever exist. While a steadfast hegemon of the Aetian islands, Ataeria did at one point control coastal mainland territories. The Poscaeans, seeing easy money, went to war with Ataeria which subsequently set off a war resulting in the catastrophic collapse of Kronis' first empire.   Later History: from 350 BR to 14 AR, Ataeria owned territory on the mainland and founded many historic cities, including Alexia and Sida. Most of Ataeria's domains were siezed by Poscaea in 13 AR, seeing easy money. This subsequent act set off the War of Poscaean Aggression where the Seleutine acted in defense and virtually wiped Poscaea off the map, vassalizing its capital city. Ataeria's era came to an end when it submitted to the Morosian Empire in 438 AR. Being an old state, the royal family maintained its position and the territory kept much of its sovereignty.
