Lammetrian Syncretism
Also referred to as Thyzanti Syncretism
Dualism
Deities: Anri the God of Peace & Akros the God of Wrath
State Religion of: Thyzanti Empire
Notable exceptions: Ancient Lammetria worshipped Anri solely, while ancient Challia solely worshipped Akros in what was simply refered to as the Lammetrian Pantheon.
However, being pacifist, Lammetria was rarely at war, and so often sold off their military as mercenaries to surrounding powers - essentially creating slave soldiers. To openly worship Akros was heresy, until half of Lammetria rebelled against the government and did just that, creating a civil war whish would last some centuries.
Lammetria itself was eventually finished off when Morosia attacked it utilizing Lammetrian mercenaries against them. Meanwhile the worship of the wrathful deity Akros persisted for some time after Lammetria's fall, until a state known as Thyzanti rose up and defeated the "kingdom of the heretics". The Thyzanti were several generations of Lammetrian people later who adopted both gods into one unified faith, believing in balance and appropriate times for peace as well as war. Since then, the faith has survived strongly with the Lammetrians for some 300 years

Beliefs
Similar with the Lammetrian Pantheon, Lammetrian Syncretism believed that there existed Anri the god/goddess of peace and pacifism - that the way forward was through nonviolent means. The god/goddess Akros is simply the opposite of that, believing violence to be the only way to make progress in the world. When a child goes through a temper-tantrum they are said to be possessed by Akros. In ancient Lammetrian society, Anri was promoted above all else while Akros was denounced. Lammetrian/Thyzantine syncretism now believes in the power of both gods equally, and encourages the modest worship to both deities. In the eyes of the new Lammetrian generations, Anri and Akros are both useful in their own ways, and are believed to complement each others' weaknesses. While peace is still regarded as a good first choice, the option for violence should not be avoided to the point where someone loses their goal - such were the mistakes of many early Lammetrians.Founding
Lammetrian Syncretism was founded off of the Lammetrian Pantheon - its own origins being unclear as far as pantheons go. Lammetrian Syncretism on the other hand, was the result of mutual agreement of the people then living in the Kingdom of Thyzanti. King Cyrod of Thyzanti readily adopted this religion in 268 AR, wherein the Thyzanti would later go on to challenge Challia, the Lammetrian kingdom which worshipped Akros alone. After the conquering of Challia, the Lammetrians came to universally adopt this religion, and so it has prominently remained up to present times.History
In Lammetria's early days, their culture revolved around almost entirely being pacifistic. Any child growing up who showed noticeable signs of constant aggression was said to be a child of Akros and was forced into joining Lammetria's military. However, being pacifist, Lammetria was rarely at war, and so often sold off their military as mercenaries to surrounding powers - essentially creating slave soldiers.
