Some people speculate it to be a political response to the Dresnid invasion as, when they invaded, so too did a culture up north - the Ailesians. These events occured throughout the 700s and signaled the need for change to many people. The more religious people felt that they had fallen out of power with the gods, and that change was indeed needed."

Beliefs
The belief of Denai is of a rather benevolent and forgiving god who usually is depicted as a woman. She is also representative of authority and is believed to reward those loyal to her. Many depictions in iconography portray her either as a mother or a warrior, and sometimes both. Some believe her to be the brightest star while others think she is the feeling of invincibility and the rush when you are active or are attacked.Founding
Dominion was founded likely in the Alexian Empire/collapsing Morosian Empire after the Daahken Dresnid invasions into Morosian Southern continent which spread their religion Ilueism. Ilueism was the third religion to adopt monotheism, likely inspired by Zemourism spread by the Zahretian Caliphate in Podrusai. Overall Domion is essentially the Morosian and Aetian iteration of the new Monotheistic phenomenon sweeping the southern continent.History
Dominion is the state religion of the Alexian Empire. Some say it was a reactionary religion - created to deter the general population from the appeal of the Dresnids' new monotheistic religion. It is unknown when the religion was founded, but it was promoted as the state religion under Emperor Valon Vekon I in 791 AR. Under Emperor Axel Vekon the religion was expanded and encouraged to spread its teachings. It would see real expansion after the Alexian Reconquest War for Pathamai, as missionaries and priests departed southwards.Enforcement
Priests and Bishops lead the religion through churches located in many major cities and towns. Missionaries are a voluntary occupation and usually worked by the more fervent followers. The average Alexian does not involve Dominion in theirs lives too terribly much, but likely looks down on non-believers. Regardless, the administration as of 900 AR is tolerant and liberal with the enforcement of the state religion, unless any particular region begins to swell with discontent.Hierarchy of Clergy:
