Kalastahr

Kalastahr look very similar to humans, though are a actually species of Elfs and are the decendands of the ancient Moon Elfs. Thier psycic powers are as strong as ever, however the innate control that the Moon Elfs had over thier powers has all but vanished. Kalastahr are known as 'The Dreamers', because thier detailed psycic perception, combined with lacking Mental control, leads to vivid dream-like visions.

Biological Traits

Despite being Elfs, Kalastahr do not have pointed ears and are only the size of humans, unlike other elven species which are one head taller on average. Thier Lifespan is also drastically short, in the average elven view, as it is only about 120 years. For comperison, other elven species have just reached maturity by then and live at least 550 years and often up to three quarters of a century. Overall the Kalasthar do not really fit the common elven stereotype, when it comes to apperance and bodily traits at all, they however retain the grace and slender apperance of other elfs.

Facial characteristics

Kalastahr have a smooth and long face of an elf though it is subtle as this feature isn't as pronounced. There are two major features that make the Kalastahr distinct from other elven species. One is that Kalastahr are the only elven species that do not have pointed ears, but even more uncommon is that the Kalastahr are the only elfs, where males grow facial hair, albeit being stubbles at most.

One could say that the Kalastahr are cultural half-elfs. Thier mind-set is greatly influenced by the elven ideals and views, though the Kalastahr have a hard time earning respect within elven circles, which pushed them in the spheres of humans, where the Kalastahr found thier place, since they are much closer based on thier biological traits.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The Kalastahr are the wonderlings of elfs, while they are not outcasts, they aren't really regarded as elfs. They are much closer to humans, with which the Kalastahr get along well due to thier nature.
