Pickled Heads

Hags have brought nothing more than destruction, pain, and misery wherever they go. They are the architects of despair, feeding off of broken families, betrayal, and the hopelessness that their victims feel. Hags can be blamed for many problems that the world has faced within the past few years, allying and aiding evil, and corrupting good. For these reasons, and more, many associate them with bad luck.
The Orcs of the Burning Skull take this association a step further. They have come to believe that these the mere presence of a Hag can weaken their enemies with excessive bad luck. No true Orc would talk to, let alone work aside a Hag. However, the Burning Head use severed heads of these Hags as weapons and charms alike, using the physical bodies to force bad luck upon all they face. These are preserved with salt water, vinegar, and smoke, causing them to shrink.
The Orcs of the Burning Skull take this a step further. They have come to believe that the physical bodies of these Hags has the embedded bad luck. These Orcs use the severed heads of Hags as weapons and charms, preserving them with salt, vinegar, and drying them out. They believe that these heads will bring bad luck swiftly on their foes. They throw these heads before entering melee, similarly to a sling, though it can be used as a makeshift weapon, if they are disarmed. Seeing the effectiveness of these weapons against their enemies, the Burning Skull have been forced to make laws on stealing these weapons.
Due to the rarity of Hags, it has become a symbol of status and wealth, marking the greatest of their ranks to their enemies. However, due to the excessive amount of these heads that the orcs carry, it is assumed that the vast majority of these are not authentic.
