Korthos

Korthos- the jewel of the material plane, the life-dotted gem of the cosmos, and the home of magic and mortals. Korthos is a diverse planet with all the ecosystems one expects to find- from the dense Fajar'i rainforests to the dry Settaran savannah- and those one may not expect to find- like the dragon Cihuai-Zhu's forest of frozen locusts or the petrified reefs off of Bastion's northern shore. Intrinsically linked with the magic of the Progenitor and encircled by the inner and outer planes, Korthos is a living paradise home to infinite variation of life.

Geography

Korthos is a standard Earth-like planet- roughly 8000 miles in diameter and orbited by a single nearby moon. Korthos has four great continents stretching across its watery surface. Southerly Beshabha and its surrounding isles and subcontinents is, for the most part, a warm continent stretching from its tropical forests in the north to its more southerly plains and deserts. Dominated mostly by elven, gnomish, and giant cultures, Beshabha is a land of old history and even older magic. To Beshabha's north lies the anvil-shaped continent of Aborea, a landmass whose tropical south is separated from is cool and temperate north by the towering mountains of the dwarven Ranga Holds. Its north is dominated by diverse cultures of humans, half-elves, orcs, and beastfolk, whereas its south is home to dwarven holds, elven colonies, monstrous empires, and lizardfolk territories locked in a constant struggle with one another over territory and safety. Korthos' northernmost continent- known generally in the Common tongue as the Icewhite (or perhaps Icewight) Lands- is a cold and relatively uninhabited land of glaciers and strange cold monsters. Sitting across the narrow Mushussu Sea from western Beshabha and across the wide Hungry Sea from eastern Aborea is the great old continent of Xiuja- land of the dragons and their various vassals as well as humanity's "homeland" on Korthos.
