Korthos

Golden threads of light shimmer through the void. They wrap around every living and nonliving thing- here a knot around a grasshopper's leg, there a thread around a slightly bent finger, and another that secures a stone to the ground. A blue robed woman hooks her finger along a translucent thread of gold in the air before her and utters an incantation, giving the thread a tug. A radiant blast of fire billows forth in front of her, scorching the earth and igniting plants.   Korthos is a world suffused with magic. Its Progenitor deity oversees the movement of magic throughout the world- anything from the smallest insect to the mightiest god can wield magic, and also be destroyed by it. The story of Korthos is one of a long history of great empires- dragons, goblins, giants, elves, and more- and the history of their destruction at the hands of greater enemies. Strife suffuses the very fabric of Korthos and its magic, even holding the planar system in place and keeping the gods alive.
