This unfortunate condition is one that can really sneak up on you. Many do not hold the knowledge of the fauna to a level needed to stay safe. That's why most rely on the work of Foragers to supply them with safe to eat food. However some of those that do hold this knowledge, do not use the Wart Rose Pearl for anything less than chaos.
It was once reported; during a tribe dispute several members of an angered tribe snuck into an unguarded camp during the night, placing Wart Rose Pearl in some of the food storage bins of their opposition. This was an outright cruel act. At the time, it was unknown what would happen if the liquid from this Pearlwas exposed to internal organs. This case, very similar to any other. Chaos did not ensue immediately, but after the first week, it was apparent that something was horribly wrong. It started for most as a pain in the throat, and shortness of breath. Within the next two weeks, 7 lives had been lost due to asphyxiation.

Transmission & Vectors

This condition is only transmitted by the bursting of a Wart Rose Pearl. A small pearl found growing inside of a Spitting Wart Rose. Once this pearl bursts, fluid expelled can travel up to 8 feet away by the pressure alone. Any skin this fluid comes in contact with will develop Rose Wart. Unfortunately, those who don't know this condition, or the cause may be tempted to wipe this fluid off of their skin, or face. Doing this can spread the fluid, and thus spread Rose Wart. A proper way to prevent spreading, would be to not touch the liquid any further and let it dry on it's own. Direct application of very high heat can nullify the effects of Rose Wart and prevent the growth of Warts, although this is only remedied by burn scars, due to the high heat required.

Symptoms

It may take 1-2 weeks for this condition to start to show symptoms. Unfortunately, once it does, the symptoms never fully go away, and are very visible. In the early stages it will cause small pimple-like wart growths on the skin. These spots are very painful when touched, even by a cover garment. These will slowly grow and spread across the affected area. Some of the largest seen were nearly an inch in diameter. While this condition never fully goes away, the worst of the symptoms seem to subside after the first 8 months.

Treatment

There is no known full treatment for Rose Wart. Although high heat applied directly to the skin can destroy the skin to the point no further warts will grow. This is far more painful than the condition itself, and depending on the severity of the condition, and the burn itself, may cause worse scars. The best way to "treat" this condition is using the burn method within the first 5-10 minutes of being exposed the fluid of the Wart Rose Pearl.

Hosts & Carriers

This condition is carried within the fluid of a Wart Rose Pearl. Which itself is a product of the Spitting Wart Rose. The plant itself seems to cause no ill-effects, and even if consumed will not cause the condition itself, the pearl fluid itself must come in contact with skin.

Cultural Reception

Due to the nature of this condition, it can be very uneasy to look upon someone with it. Even if one was aware of the condition and knew not to spread the fluid, the pressure of these Wart Rose Pearls cause the fluid to go everywhere. If this is close to your face when it bursts, it is likely your entire face will be covered. Worse are those who are not aware of the cause of the condition. They are likely to attempt to wipe their face clean. Causing rapid spread of the fluid. Often those effected by this condition are shunned simply due to appearance alone. Although their position in a group may change this.
