Heirrath

The Thousand Hands of Hate

You must simply remember that I am the author of all your pain. The artist behind the tragic painting that is your existence.
— Heirrath to an unknown victim
Heirrath, known as The Thousand Hands of Hate is the most dangerous and deadly single creature to exist in all of Korrisian Space, rivaled only by her father, Kormund. It is believed that Heirrath is the daughter of the Dark Twin Kormund, who is one of the two progenitor gods to have existed, killed in mortal combat by his own brother, Garenthar. In truth, Heirrath is not simply the "daughter" of Kormund, but moreso the manifestation of his will, what is left of his essence was poured into creating several malignant forces known as the Overlords, ancient and malignant evils that have forever corrupted the planes of Korrisian Space, and have had a hand in every single event that led to pain and misery.   Heirrath herself is the most powerful and is widely seen as the de facto leader of the Underlords. Although there has been no official account of any Underlord sightings since the days of Eldoria, it is believed that such evils can never truly be killed. The only known lore of the Underlords are stored in rare texts kept in secure sights such as Candlekeep or the Calemdarian College of Magic. Some even say that the truest information of the Underlords, and how to call upon them rests in the Book of Vile Darkness itself.   It is also widely believed that Heirrath is the mother of the three vicious gods of evil who make up the The Trinity of Ruin. She molded them as simple mortals and guided them on their bloodlust-filled journey to becoming Deities, in hopes of continuing the work of Kormund, and corrupting all of his brother's creations.   Worship of Heirrath is among the highest forms of heresy. Most cults and temples that worshipped Kormund have shifted to primarily worship his daughter, seeing her as the heir to the Everspire's Throne. The prominent group that claims to speak for the will of their goddess is the Cult of Bloody Daggers. This cult is among the most deadly of all who work within mortal society. While small, when they emerge kingdoms rise and fall, blood is spilled to overflow the oceans and rivers in their goddess' name. The leader of the cult is known even as the Arbiter of Hate, and is believed to speak directly to Heirrath and execute her will.

Holy Books & Codes

The Liber Odio or the Book of Hatred. Mainly talked about as a theory, but none have ever claimed to see its pages for themselves. Those that do are quickly waved off as madmen, lunatics, idiots, bad bards making a horrible joke, or any other ignored group.   The belief is that the Liber Odio outlines all of the tenants of Kormund, his personal writings and views on the world created by his brother. After his fall, Heirrath and her followers continued his work. It may also include the methods to call upon Heirrath and speak directly with the dark goddess, and, in the darkest of theories, how to manifest her physical body on the Material Plane, an act that would bring about nothing less than total destruction of all life.
