Count Aleksander Hammesfahr

Count of Yarrin Aleksander Hammesfahr (a.k.a. Warden of Dhenbadir Pass)

Aleksander Hammesfahr is the current Count of Yarrin, a Village in the Imperial Territory of Quisalor. Count Hammesfahr is a man of mystery, with little known about his personal life, it is believed he fought in the Imperial War of Aggression for the Republic of Quisalor, but had eventually aligned with the Northern Empire before Quisalor fully capitulated. Hammesfahr has never married, nor has he sired any children. Aleksander was the son of a Quisalor general, Demnar Hammesfahr, who had led one of many battles in the Dhenbadir Pass against the Duergar forces who occupy most of the Dhenbadir Mountains. Aleksander exhibits his father's skill of tactics and battle, but has little taste.   Many joke that Aleksander is a vampire or ghoul, as he is up for almost all of the evening, and can often be seen pacing in his study at the Count's Mansion. In reality, Aleksander is a heavy insomniac, and struggles to get even an hour of sleep a night, yet his mind is always sharp. The people of Yarrin view Hammesfahr in a mostly positive light, he is generous, caring, and kind to his people, if a bit cold in most interactions. When required, Aleksander's mettle is iron-cold and harsh, he deals out justice viciously, always pushing for maximum sentences or punishments. With the arrival of the Lawspeaker Chalun, Aleksander has taken a backseat in matters of justice, and has an uneasy relation with Chalun, ensuring that he completes his tasks but also that he does not gain too much power.
