Upon reaching the natural stone bridge connecting the Citadel of Daa, the Book Club was confronted with battling the Woebeast, a creation of Tilgūn's that possessed terrifying power. Gloi recognized they were not strong enough to defeat the creature, so she temporarily blessed them with enhanced ability. Despite her divine aid, just before the death of the Woebeast, Val'Dir Acher fell and breathed his last.
