In reaction to the Alsus Grain Riots of 1244 LE, the Catbalus of Calpi made one of their own, an ambitious Eicatbalus named Capibus Qulus Orquisus, the Biovbua (Dictator) of Calpi with the mandate to restore order. He did so but refused to relinquish power afterward. He retained the title of Biobvua until his coronation in 1251 LE.
