Goblins are small creatures originally from the Realm of Shadow. They thrive in the Realm of Shadow and on the Material Planes, they tend to lurk in the dark places of the world, especially dwelling in caves and venturing onto the surface under the cover of night.
Basic Information
Cranium
Goblins have large, round heads with needle-sharp teeth and large eyes.
Stature
Goblins are typically small creatures, standing between 2' 10" and 3' 2" and weighing around 38 to 42 pounds.
Goblins reproduce sexually, and there is no known possibility of successful reproduction between goblins and other species.
Many people believe that goblins only live for around a dozen years. However, this is not true. Although they do mature quite quickly, taking only about two years to reach adulthood, they can live up to 60 or 70 years of age if they are not killed violently. Unfortunately, goblins are often killed within a dozen or so years of their birth, which might be why the common misconception exists.
Goblins are strict carnivores and have no inherent bias against cannibalism. However, there are taboos against it in some goblin societies, such as cannibalism of a society's own members, while in others it is completely accepted. It is often exaggerated by other sapient species, but in reality, it is not very common and definitely not universal.
Additional Information
Goblin eyes are yellow or orange, with little to no visible sclera. The have very long, pointed ears that are often a bit ragged in appearance.
Goblins are yellow, greenish-gray, or green in color, with stringy, black hair.
Goblins see well in darkness.
