Carivum Ce
The Carivum Ce, (whose name means "Three Murders"), is a highly secretive organization that operates within the Calpian Empire. Its existence is not widely known among the citizens, and only a few well-informed individuals have heard of it or rumors about it. The organization is notorious for being hired by wealthy individuals and clandestine criminal groups to perform a variety of jobs, which can include assassination, sabotage, security, espionage, and other tasks deemed necessary by the contractor. Additionally, they can be hired to be kept on retainer by an individual or group.
The use of Carivum Ce is taboo and discovery of its employment can be detrimental to a family or organization's reputation, but it is still used.
Structure
The Carivum Ce is a secretive organization that operates in the shadows around the world. They have representatives in almost every major city and capital in the Calpian Empire, but their identities are closely guarded secrets even among their own members. During meetings, each member wears a mask with markings indicating their rank and bareccum, while keeping their true identity concealed. When someone joins the Carivum Ce, their denoba is changed to Carivum, a derivation the Calpian word for murder. In their public lives, they can continue to use their original denoba, but the denoba "Carivum" is used during secret meetings. For this reason, some members of the organization call it the "Twenty-Ninth Denoba," since there are only twenty-eight denoba used by those of the Calpii ethnicity.
Each member of Carivum Ce belongs to one of the three bareccum. They are, the Ianum, the Vanum, and the Tinum.
Ranks
There are four broad ranks within Carivum Ce, though there are nuances within the ranks, as well. First, there are the initiates, known as r̂omr̂eltii. Most members of the order belong to this rank, and the level of trust is lowest among this group. Next, there are the elevated, who are called uvtolori. These are trusted members of the order who still operated independently, but are given assignments of greater import. They are granted the right to enter Covulepreit. Third are the proctors, who are called eipeosco. This is the supervisory tier of the organization. Finally, there are the masters, who are called covuleprei eisabin, or "death bringers." They sit on a council that oversees the organization as a whole and they determine its direction.
