The Eldunari, People of the Silver Glade
Eutropius gazed into the fire, watching it crackle and pop. The rest of his crew laughed, slapping each other on the back in congratulations as they gathered around their prize. Strung out across the ground, its limbs removed and the harvesting process begun, lay a dryad's corpse. The sap they harvested from this creature would be the final step to retirement for Eutropius, then he'd lay down roots and pass the Harvester company off to Cyril. As the crew laughed again, he stood and moved to their side, looking down at the body. The creature was a twisted knot of wood and vines, vaguely female in shape and appearance. Strange runes covered its body, now dull and dead, wherein they'd been active and shining when the creature had been alive. The thing's dead hollow eyes seemed to stare back at him, accusingly. Beneath each of the creature's now vacant limbs were metal pans, collecting the purplish sap that dripped sluggishly from the Dryad's body.
Eutropius watched, sadness spreading through his body. The process still pained him, to take creatures like this and harvest them for his own welfare. However, he didn't have much of a choice anymore. Korinthos had taken everything from him and given nothing back. Soldiers were supposed to be respected following a war, but he'd been cast aside, left to rot. He needed to take this back for him, to do something for once in his life to provide for himself and those he loved.
Eutropius glanced up in surprise as something caught his eye in the foliage just beyond his crew. He tried to focus on it, but it was gone already, a glimmer in the darkness disappearing as quickly as it had appeared. Everything in his body screamed for him to do something, to warn the others.
"Hey, did you see that?" he said offhand.
"What are you talking about, boss? Have some wine!" Basilides, a young and new Harvester, responded.
Eutropius didn't even see the arrow until it had pierced Basilides' throat. He fell, silently, to the ground. Dead before he had a chance to react. Suddenly, arrows fell like hornets from the trees from seemingly invisible places. He fell to his knees, rolling into cover behind a fallen tree trunk as the arrows continued to hiss down from above. Where were they coming from? Every time he got close to pinpointing one of them he lost it again. Certainly, he should be able to at least identify an attacker by now. There was nothing to be done about it, he couldn't attack what he couldn't see. He turned and began to crawl on his stomach off into the underbrush.
He stopped as he came face to face with a pair of boots, black and muddy in the darkness. His eyes slowly trailed upwards and he found himself staring down the shaft of an arrow, a pair of angry eyes looking back at him on the other end.
"Harvester. I, Adair, of the Glade Guard, judge you guilty of killing a Sylvan and harvesting its lifeblood. You will face judgment at the feet of the Gilded Council for your actions and for the deaths of your companions who followed you here."
A bag then fell over Eutropius's head, sealing him in darkness.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Sylvan Eldunari take many forms. The smallest and most simple of these forms being Dryads, Blights, and Wood Woads. There are, however, three stages or classifications of Sylvan Eldunari. As stated before, the smallest are known as Seedlings. The second form are called the Eld, these include golems, and other medium-sized natural spirits manifesting in physical forms. The third, and largest, form are called the Greater Eld, or the Eldar. The Greater Eld consists of Treants, Woad Knights, Greater Growths, and other larger, ancient natural spirits.
The Elven Eldunari consist of the three Elven races. Wood Elves, or Woad Wardens, serve as the guardians and warriors of the Silver Glade patrolling and defending its borders from all potentially dangerous encroaching forms or people. The High Elves, or Silver Stewards, serve as emissaries, counselors, and stewards of the Silver Glade. The Silver Stewards are respected as the political power of the Silver Glade. Finally, the Eladrin (Moon Elves), or Speakers of the Glade, are the Elves who existed in the Silver Glade first, communing with the natural spirits and living among them. Their connection to the Sylvan Eldunari is so great that they are trusted with speaking for the needs of the Glade and manifest this connection through their ability to reflect the seasons in their appearance.
Biological Traits
Sylvan Eldunari can live as long as thousands of years, the oldest known being the Great Eld Spirit BrambleHive, who has lived supposedly for two-thousand years. As Sylvan Eldunari grow older, starting as simple Seedlings and maturing over the years, they grow larger, accumulating more nature and influence over nature with time and age.
Elven Eldunari can live for, on average, five-hundred years. Though many have had their lives extended by natural magic for as long as a thousand years. The Elves of Silus have supposedly obtained immortality through their gods.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
Many mercenaries and poachers, referred to as Harvesters, often enter the Silver Glade, seeking Ley Sap. Ley Sap is a material naturally produced by Sylvan Eldunari and it is highly vied for in potion crafting and Arcanich creation, due to its latent natural magical properties and healing potential. Ley Sap has been used to create many powerful potions and creations, however, its use does suggest the death of a Sylvan Eldunari as the sap runs through their bodies like blood. There are also plenty of researchers who seek parts of Sylvan Eldunari, including their bark and vines for magical research, though the sap is still considered the most valuable and difficult to harvest. Harvesters are hunted relentlessly by the Elven Eldunari.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Eldunari are only known to live in Albins in Silva (The Silver Glade).
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Sylvan Eldunari are granted great strength when interacting with nature. They are capable of manifesting avatars of nature and calling upon the natural strength of intrinsically natural places to fuel their own strength. Sylvan Eldunari are also capable of speaking too and controlling their environment and the animals that live there, demonstrating an affinity for beast speech as well as natural speech.
The Elven Eldunari demonstrate a wealth of skills, granted them by their connection to nature. First, they have unnaturally long lifespans which can grow longer the more connected they are to nature. Second, the Eladrin are so connected to nature that they have gained the ability to connect to different seasons, granting them unique powers and abilities. Most Elven Eldunari demonstrate a natural affinity to becoming druids as well, demonstrating great skill with nature magic and arcane magic to boot.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
Most Sylvan Eldunari have names simply doing with nature. Such as BrambleHive or IronBranch. Most Elven Eldunari by comparison have names of celtic origin, usually with some variation of middle and last name that have to deal with their connection to nature, usually a family name showing the element that their families revere.
Major Organizations
Elven Eldunari are split into two castes. Those castes are the Feydin and the Shadow Caste. The Shadow Caste are the warriors and defenders of the glade, the two organizations that make up this caste are the Glade Guard and the Shadowblades. The Feydin are those who maintain and protect the glade and push its political interests in foreign nations. The Feydin consist of the Speakers and the Gilded Council.
The Glade Guard: Mostly consists of Wood Elves who patrol the forest edges and the Glade itself protecting it from Harvesters and Poachers.
The Shadowblades: Elves (of any race) who are used as enforcers of the Silver Glade's needs and will when dealing with hostile foreign powers. Mainly assassins who have dedicated themselves, heart and soul, to the Silver Glade.
The Gilded Council: High Elves who make political decisions for the good of the glade.
The Speakers: Eladrin who are in charge of "speaking for the glade" and communicating the Sylvan Eldunari and the Silver glade's needs and desires.

Conservation Status
The Eldunari are often believed to simply be the sentient Sylvan that dwell in the Silver Glade itself, however, the species also includes the Wood and High Elves that dwell in the Silver Glade, protecting this natural nation. Thus, the Eldunari themselves are considered endangered, currently only known to exist in the Silver Glade, but the Elduanri themselves are a fairly diverse nation comprised of Elves, Sylvan, Firbolgs, and other outsiders who have proven themselves trustworthy.
