Queen Ada Garnetleaf

Queen Ada Garnetleaf is an elf who sits on the throne in the capital city of Baylan and is the de facto regent for all of Kore Wyn. She is the second Garnetleaf to rule the realm after her great grandfather King Eluvian Garnetleaf. Those close to Queen Ada know her to be effortlessly charming and carefree despite the pressures of her role. She surrounds herself with the most competent advisors and delegates the majority of decision-making to this High Council, within whom she places her deepest trust. Ada is a lover of epic poetry and the arts and keeps a lavish garden that blooms through the spring, summer, and fall where she holds most of her meetings and frequent social gatherings. Critics argue that she does no real ruling at all and that she refuses to listen to any viewpoints that originate outside her inner circle of advisors and confidants. Others complain, with some justification, that she deals with matters pertaining to the well-being of Baylan elves before she considers the needs of her kingdom or of the wider realm, and that she can be downright capricious and unkind in her dealings with members of other species, the major exception being her close relationship with Archduchess Sera Borgh of Ceresthor, whom she loves as a sister.
