Derapis

East of the Twilight gap within the Aerian Mountains. A large City with a population of 8,000 inhabitants.  the city center is a large market place for purchasing and selling goods.  
This is an expansion of the original source material as described in the Twilights Last Gleaming adventure. 

Demographics

a wide variety of races dwell in the city there is a higher density of races that are more "accustomed to the climate" some that travel from the south and east.

Government

Gerontocracy. Elders preside over this society

Defences

there is a wall on the western side of the city facing the Aerian mountains and the Twilight gap that is more for protecting from the elemenets.  the eastern side has the river  and faces open ground with long sight lines to the horizon.

Industry & Trade

is a trade hub. goods come from the west through the Twilight gap as well as from the Port far to the east  along the river and the trade road south brings merchants and goods.

Infrastructure

there is a river that flows through the city. the city as developed around the river in that 70% of the city is on the western side of the river and 30% is on the eastern side.  There are sewers and some watermills. the center of town is the hub of all action and building rose up around this hub to offer some protection during the winter months. the western side that faces the mountians has a wall that put up as a protection from the weather more then defense from attacks.

Located near a river that allows goods to come from a port city further to the east via Keelboats.
