While all of the water of the swamps in Prunyth are catalysts for the slowing, gorgon pools are a potent and dangerous hazard. The slowing takes its toll on the Prunyn, and if unwary visitors miss the signs then the gorgon pools will show them in hours or even minutes what fate the locals can look forward to.
Once-living statuary is a common sight in the fens.
