Kingdom of Tayos
Lying to the South of Sirom, the human Kingdom of Tayos remains a constant threat. Formed from pro-imperial loyalists after the fall of The Empire of Lindorei, Tayos is one of the few known nations where slavery of fey folk is still legal.
The Kingdom of Tayos began in 962AP after the fall of The Empire of Lindorei, founded by imperial loyalists who fled south after a rebellion overthrew the emperor and established the government with the Republic of Lagos. The King of Tayos was the son of the former emperor, and the same royal line continued as an Absolute Monarchy. The crown fosters extreme, almost religious commitment from the common people, and vow to reunite the Lindorei Empire.
The early history of Tayos is remembered for their many martial encursions against Lagos, almost entirely unsuccessful due to both their modest ecenomy and strategic restrictions caused by "Dark Magic" and the Feywilds. But around 1200AP, the new King Lucius II made an effort to develop the country's economy and industrial output. The project was extremely successful particularly due to the discovery of valuable gold and diamond deposits in their borders. This has allowed the country to develop dramatically, including their military output.
Following the announcement that Hugo Tennenbaum, a Siromian human, was the first human magic-user, the government of Tayos invested heavily into investigating utilizing magic themselves. In 1991, they deployed Paladins loyal to the throne, the first magic military action of Tayos.
