Tirglasian Honey Cakes

It wasn’t as sweet as the cane syrup they produced back home, but it was filling nevertheless and quite sticky. Not that the latter bothered the boys, who merely licked their fingers clean and wiped them on their shirts, much to their uncle’s disgruntlement.

Tirglas cuisine as a whole doesn't accommodate those who have much of a sweet tooth, but one of their treats is what they call a honey cake. Despite the name, these cakes are more-or-less soft and spongy rolls that are glazed in a honey-based syrup.
