New London

Dragons have always sought out big cities as they contain the highest concentration of names and subjective meaning which they feed off of. London was no exception and was raised to the ground by several attacks, most notably by the behemoth class Dragon named Kraken. The state fell into chaos and it seemed hopeless for all the displaced people on the British Isles, until the Advent of Monarchs. Ley lines and Fey Artifacts laid hidden in the land making the area around the Thames a hotspot for Monarchs who would protect the land in exchange for Knights and other people carrying out their orders. And so from the ashes New London was built, stretching over a vast area and becoming the biggest city in northern europe.

Government

London is under a Unitary Authority governed by the London City counsel. After the state collapse of the UK the 2018 Local Government Act gave the city autonomy functioning as a lone city state with its own with private actors and corporations working together to get through a very chaotic situation. Today the government consists of a completely reworked system compared to the once before the Dragon Calamity in 1999. With the royal family dead in the Crustacean Plague, and the general chaos making any election or parliament ineffective once the Monarchs arrived and relative peace and safety where to be had the system was rebuilt from its roots.

The local government of London is divided into three tiers; a citywide, strategic tier, a local tier, and a business and defence tier. Then exists multiple minor administrative authorities to help with logistics and carry out missions from the government. Though it is debated whether the government actually hold any major power as they have limited resources and outreach compared to the mega corporations and private defence agencies holding the Monarchs.

Industry & Trade

First and foremost London is a city known for its industry; specifically green technology, urban farming, transportation and defence agencies. To survive the isolated world of Dragons alternative ways of manufacturing and food production became a must for the city's survival. As most transports are made by sea London naturally became a central knot in the global sea link agreement, providing safe harbour and multiple Knight patrols to protect the waters around Europe. Walls have been built around the city soaking in solar power that it then provides to its multiple “wings”, smaller enclosed industrial areas sprawling from outside the major city. Materials are then shipped from across the world to these facilities to be made into blue revolution technology and products as Steed-E, Chrome, Green Farm, and multiple other corporations have their production done in the outskirt wings of London. The operations kept powered and safe due to the cities infrastructure and supply of Knights.
