The Weave

In the world of Arawyn, there are 8 forms of commonly found supernatural power that anyone can use easily; Magic, Divine, Primal, Elemental, Chaos, Order, Fate, and Astral energies. These powers are capable of being manipulated by mortal-kind to perform an assortment of tasks from the simplest of offensive spells, to powerful and enduring rituals. Each power functions differently from others, and some even oppose another. Each one courses through the Weave - the network through which all supernatural power flows - and can be manipulated by the user.
The Weave began as a network of colored strands that erupted from two massive quartz mountains at the poles of the Arawyn. It spanned across the world, serving as a tool that allowed mortalkind to use the magic that they Fey could wield. For millennia, the mortals never fully understood what the weave was capable of, but have since learned both its purpose, and range of use.
The Weave is a conduit for the supernatural forces (such as magic, primal, or positive energies) to flow through and be manipulated in more refined forms. While the powers can be drawn from the weave by any person with minimal knowledge, those with a higher understanding can utilize it for more powerful acts, such as rituals.

Manifestation

The Weave appears as a interwoven colored strands - Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Orange, and Green. It is not visible to the naked eye and requires a great deal of dedication to be able to physically see. Those who practice Thaumaturgical Artes are able to perceive its existence with great concentration, while Ritualists and Sorcerers can visually see it with their eyes.
