Nightingale

A large black metal fortress used to create illegal technology and smuggle goods.

Demographics

The majority of the population is the Gearheads who create most of the machines that power the city. The rest of the population is either slaves or refugees or people on the run.

Government

The settlement is run by the Gearheads leader The Head Gear. The Head Gear controls taxations and law enforcement through a series of automatons designed to be sturdy and hard to take down in combat.

Defences

Massive walls still stand from when the settlement was still a fortress. Massive artillery cannons powered with magic line the walls ready to destroy any and all attackers. Airships fly from above attacking invading forces with terrifying might and efficiency

Industry & Trade

The huge factories build up resources for the citizens, the Gearheads and their slaves work the factory while everyone else is either barely scraping along or thriving in huge business connections.

Infrastructure

Roads bridge the city and multiple factories have been built up to manufacture goods. Some sewers have been added for the purposes of containing oil and sweat as well as other forms of waste.

Massive factories build up equipment everyday and it is distributed at The Head Gear's will.

Guilds and Factions

The Gearheads control almost all of what happens in the city, with only a couple small criminal syndicates causing trouble here and there.

History

Nightingale was originally a fortress by the same name. Then the Gearheads came and took over, turning the once strategical landmark into a city that causing excess pollution and disease of the surrounding area.

Architecture

Metal and bricks stained from smoke and steam can be found at every corner of this city. The residential building aren't much different with graffiti and dirt covering almost all of it

Geography

Four rivers converge on one side of the city, the rest is plains with stretches for miles around.

Natural Resources

Water and fish from the river is most of the population eats. Except for the Gearheads who eat oil.
