Grand Arcane Tome

This large, leather bound tome of magic is given to a Grand Council Of Mages member as they take their seat at the table. This contains all the collected arcane knowledge pertaining to their particular school of magic. Any mage granted one of these is to ensure it is kept safe as it is no mere book by any means. This is to be passed on to their replacement in the event of either their death, or if they step down from the council for any reason. Contained in this book are powerful top tier arcane spells that only the most skilled wizard can cast. The knowledge locked inside it's writings is to not only be guarded, lest it falls into the wrong hands, but treated with the utmost caution. Otherwise any misuse could lead to some quite dire circumstances indeed. After all, nobody wants to inadvertently call down a meteor or summon some demonic entity in the middle of the city!
