The Astral Plane

Unlike the other planes, the astral plane is infinite. It is a realm of endless possibility that exists both within and beyond The Glass. Only those attuned by birth or by immense power can even see it, and only one being is ever known to have survived traversing it, though he was never seen again. Those that know of it keep it's greater secrets to themselves, not even daring to write of it. They believe it is the heart of all things, even the universe.
There are many different religious, cultural, and scholarly theories about the Astral Plane, some believing that The Veil is an extension of it, others believe The Veil is protecting the mortal plane against it.
