The areas of Hearth include the Flame, Steel, and Stone wards, with the area directly outside the walls unofficially referred to as the "Ash" ward.   The Steel Ward is the location of the city's industry, containing most of its stained glass and steel production. It also produces textiles and weaponry, albeit to a lesser extent than steel and glass. Most workers who work in the Steel Ward also live here.   The Flame Ward, located in the center of the city, contains the Light Keep, the largest castle in the Kingdoms. Home of the Rona, Council of Lords, and the Great Beacon. It otherwise serves as a religious center and the locale in which beacons are lit and prepared for transit, as well as a place in which one might make a pilgrimage to seek redemption as an Exile, or just for the religious experience of being near the Beacon of Hearth.   The Stone Ward contains the marketplace, as well as the city's middle to upper-class housing. It proudly boasts a number of talented stonemasons as well, who have taken to filling the section of the city with statues depicting the heroes of old.   The Ash Ward is less a proper section of the city and more a disorganized shantytown outside the outer wall. In contrast to the soaring gothic architecture of the city it's built near, the Ash Ward is where many who seek pilgrimage to the Flame Ward to stand in the glory of the Great Beacon wait for days before the disciples allow a lucky few to enter. In the meantime, the denizens of this ward devote themselves to typically pious activities, working to support themselves and their fellows. Some find work in the Steel Ward, and remain in the city on a more permanent basis, though they are certainly a minority.
