History

The captive sea gets its name from the fact that it was created by a group of gods to imprison the water titan, Rayabou . Millennia ago, Rayabou attempted to flood the world to create their own watery realm to rule over. Fortunately, in the battle that followed the coalition of gods that fought Rayabou won and were able to imprison them and the smaller water elementals that were following them. They pushed a great chasm into the middle of Autevall, threw the elementals into it, and sealed them in with the Great Shield. Since then, the presence of the water elementals have filled the basin with fresh water simply with their presence.
