E. G. Cartwright
Emmett Gordon Cartwright (5th March 1857 - 1st October 1914) was an Etorean Railwayman and driver on the Great Northern & Southern Railway. He was born in Blackfell, South Etorea where he grew up in the family home until 1871 when he moved to Milford where he joined the GN&SR as an apprentice.
In 1888, he was the fireman on locomotive №636 when it overran the buffers at Toxall Junction where he sustained minor injuries, including a sprained ankle as a result being thrown off of the footplate.
He died in his home on the 1st October 1914, he is burried at Milford Cemetary.
