Rufus King

Rufus King was an American politician who served as the seventh Chancellor of America from 1818 - 1826, defeating incumbent William H. Crawford. His term has been called the "Reparation Period", as he inherited many domestic issues that had begun under the Chancellery of Elbridge Gerry and carried through his predecessor.
