Blackberries

Blackberries are fruits found in various areas of the world. They were among the favorite food of King Henry II of America on the frontier of the nation. He popularised the production of the plant into a famous ale that has since become associated with the monarchy. The fruit and ale are frequently consumed during Fourth of July celebrations, when the production is the highest.
Aside from being used in ale, the berry is a common edible across the world, and can be found grown wild in various areas across Europe and North America.

The fruit of the blackberry can be found in various parts of the world in different habitats. However, it is most famous on the North American continent, where it is famously associated with the Royal House of Lexington.
Along with being edible to humans, the plant also offers a food source for caterpillars and deer in the form of their leaves.

Behaviour

The fruit can be differentiated from its raspberry relatives by the presence of a torus, a seed portion found in the middle of the fruit. The torus remains on the plant for a raspberry, while remains in the middle of the blackberry upon removal.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

The most recognizable color of blackberries have a dark hue to them that lend to the name of the fruit. When crushed, the juice has a dark violet tint to it. However, the fruit can come in an assortment of colors, including red similar to raspberries.
