Killian X. Griffin (a.k.a. Kill)
Killian is one of the major characters in the Angelic Blood Chronicles. This page contains spoilers for Book #4 in the series.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Killian has become fairly skinny due to the highly stressful experience of coming into the angelic powers he was given by Rowan, during which time he hardly ate or slept well.
Special abilities
Killian is able to identify bacteria around him as well as kill it off by touching the surface the bacteria is on. This is his angelic power given to him by Rowan.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Killian is a human who gained angelic abilities through his sexual relationship with Rowan Courier in college. He was raised by a rather religious and conservative family who were highly controlling while he was growing up. Because of this, Killian did not feel safe coming out to them as transgender until he was in college and had the freedom to live how he wanted to. Once he did finally tell them, they told him never to speak to them again. Their overbearingness also led to Killian becoming an atheist.
Despite not having his family's support, Killian has done quite well for himself. He has been able to support himself - though he's had roommates - and thrive without them.
Gender Identity
Killian identifies as a transgender man and began living as such as soon as he was able to leave his family home and attend college.
Sexuality
KIllian now considers himself to be gay.
Education
Killian went to college to work in the field of infectious disease research and treatment. While at college he met Rowan Courier, his roommate and friend-with-benefits.
Employment
KIllian worked in a lab at his local hospital for a few years, but the development of his angelic abilities brought an end to that job.
Mental Trauma
As much as he hates to admit it, being abandoned by his family was hard for Killian to accept and, despite doing well without them, he still has moments where he misses being a part of a family.
Social
Family Ties
Killian no longer has any contact with his biological family and appreciates his new found family.
