Concubi

CONTENT WARNING: This article is about mythical beings that feed on sexual energy, meaning there are sexual references in this article. Please do not read further if this is not appropriate for you.

Concubi are angelicly-created beings who require sexual release to survive. Male concubi are known as incubi and female concubi are succubi. Those who don't identify as male or female, or otherwise non-binary or gender-fluid, often choose just to call themselves concubi or incubi/succubi as they wish to.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Concubi are said to be the most beautiful of their gender. Their power causes all those around them to see them as their personal ideal of beauty, though they can choose to keep their appearance locked to appear the same to everyone, or they may subtly change aspects of this appearance to still entice potential partners.

Genetics and Reproduction

Concubi cannot reproduce. A new concubus is born every ten years when Archangel Uriel visits Eve in Eden to ensure she and Adam are still thriving in their paradise.

Growth Rate & Stages

New concubi are born to Eve and grow at the same rate as human children. Once they reach puberty, an older concubus is summoned to take the younger one out into the world and to teach them. They are immortal and cease to visibily age after reaching full adulthood.

Ecology and Habitats

Though they can live anywhere there is a population of humans to interact with, most concubi make their homes in large cities where the population allows them to go unnoticed and feed regularly.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Prior to puberty, concubi get their nourishment from the plants and animals in Eden. All concubi must feed on sexual energy to survive after they reach puberty. This can be done through direct sexual activity with others, or through absorbing ambient sexual energy and experiencing orgasm on their own. Gender is usually unimportant when engaging directly with humans, but many concubi develop prefereces and occassionally use human words regarding sexuality and gender to describe themselves.

Most concubi only need to feed every few days or weeks. The humans who directly engage with concubi are usually unharmed, though they may feel slightly more tired than after engaging with other humans. There is no risk of humans being completely drained of all vital energy, as concubi can only absorb so much. However, a small number of concubi use their powers to seduce and murder sexual predators.

Biological Cycle

Concubi are immortal and do not reproduce, and therefore see little disruption to their routine lives. Some choose to relocate when they feel the humans around them are suspiscious of their lack of aging, or they change their appearance and create a new persona.

Behaviour

Most concubi live by the unwritten rules associated with living in a mortal-dominated world. They do not force others to engage with them sexually, though they have the power to do so, but accept that consent is vital. They also follow mortal laws about the age of humans they become involved with. Additionally, they do not use their powers of seduction for personal gain, either in terms of power or material wealth. Those who do not abide by these unwritten rules are strictly punished.

Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Concubi exist all over the world.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Concubi have the ability to smell the pharamones associated with sexual arousal. This allows them to locate others to engage with in order to feed off their energy, and they can absorb this energy. However, they still need physical release to fully consume the energy. Human sexual energies are the easiest for them to sense, but others can be sensed as well from a closer distance.
