Hel

Hel is a realm of ice and snow, owned and controlled by Vorston, the Frigid King. The realm orbits a white-dwarf star, resulting in dim daylight and a frigid climate. The world is quite small, about the size of a typical moon. Hel is inhabited by Fiends, who were brought to the realm soon after Vorston took control of it.

Geography

Hel is snowy and barren, with mountains and ice shelves making up most of its surface. Rivers of magma from deep within the planet occasionally break through to the surface.

Ecosystem

Hel has no native life. The realm is now inhabited by Demonkin, who were brought to the realm when Vorston, the Frigid King took possession of it. The Demonkin can now be found all throughout Hel's wastes.

Climate

Constantly freezing, resulting in direct harm to any organic life. Harsh winds blow at all times of day, and reach particular strength at nightfall.

History

The realm of Hel was originally created by Dorial, Goddess of the Moon, Darkness, and Ice. It was first created in the Primordial Age before Kindevion's creation. At the begining of the Ancient Age, coinciding with Kindevion's creation, Hel became a prison realm for the Council of the Ring, controlled by both Dorial and The Raven Queen, Goddess of Birth and Death, to house mortal souls from Kindevion who were considered too dangerous to be allowed to reincarnate.   Following the rebirth of Vorston, the Frigid King, ownership of Hel was transfered to him when he was granted Lordship over Kindevion. After the passing of the The Great Judgement, Vorston, his fellow demon lords, and the Tiefling peoples traveled to Hel, and sealed themselves there for 2000 years. Vorston then built the city of Necrovik, where he would house the Tiefling people and rule over the realm.   After Vorston declared the coming of the Frigid Wrath and released the Rings of Frigid Wrath on the 1st of Autumn's End, 2000 AGJ, Hel began to be populated by Wandering Husks; the souls of those killed by the Rings, whose souls were bound to Hel for eternity.
