Personal history
The royalty of Leboton's Sun Keep have always cleaved most closely to the gods of the three royal households, though there has been no though-line in terms of the specific god each member has worshipped. The Shaperate has always featured heavily, and the rising star of their house maintains that tradition. Princess Io is a very well respected priestess of the Temple of Vylora and the head of her worshippers in Leboton. In that capacity, she also serves as a matchmaker for an enormous number of the city's people and in that arena she has yet to see a single failure. She has drawn significant praise and condemnation both for her commitment to excellence in that field, in that many of her most successful matches create or empower her political opponents. Even beyond her capacity as a priestess of the goddess of love, Io has been known to be an overwhelmingly kind person even since childhood.
Her genuine kindness, reputation for the same, and position in a well respected temple lead very few to suspect the keen political mind operating behind it nor the additional worship of Asmodeus it is bent towards. Io has served as a counselor and matchmaker for the great and powerful since she was quite young and she has never forgotten a connection or secret. For most of the last ten years, Princess Io's own court has been more active and prestigious than that in the Palace Regnant. Io was initially performing quite well in the recent competition for rule, but fairly quickly decreased her efforts to a trickle, and began making moves to withdraw before the competition was half over. Her support for her house's replacement rose only to the level required by propriety. It's unclear, even to those closest to her, what her purpose was, but she has seemed entirely pleased since the coronation of Queen Eriphyle so it seems certain whatever plans she has are advancing well.
