Personal history
For most itinerant priests, seducing as many townsfolk as possible everywhere they travel would be a horrific scandal at best and heresy at worst. For the priests and priestesses of Bewitching Vylora, it's a core part of their job description. For one Melite of Pixos, it's the thing that gives life meaning. As one of the few, or possibly the only, ogre to avoid the curse that claimed the majority of that species, Melite has a very long life to find meaning in. Even the most conservative interpretations of the records have her already an adult, well respected among the clergy of the Temptress over three millennia ago. Some of the more outlandish claim she is a member of the first generation, an actual daughter of the Favored Lady born during the Dawn of the World. Melite herself has a great deal of fun playing up this mystery and teasing anyone looking for answers. Whether she belongs to the first generation or not, it cannot be denied that Melite is Vylora's most favored servant, no high priestess of her church in all of recorded history has been able to wield the sort of power the Flower of Pixos channels seemingly casually. Despite this, Melite has never expressed any interest in leading the church, and tends to only use her incredible power to keep herself alive and for fun. Of course "fun" once involved casting a spell of such potency it ended a decade-long war so that Melite wouldn't be interrupted in her attempts to seduce a man whose brother served in one of the armies. Her capacity to change the course of history on an unrelated lark should not be underestimated.

Over her long life, Melite has had the opportunity to study at all the world's educational institutions, including many which no longer exist, and she took full advantage.
