Tortles

What many tortles consider a simple life, others might call a life of adventure. Tortles are born near the sandy coastlines of Thalavis, Esperia, and Neoko as well as the beaches of the Undersea and around certain pools found deep in the jungles of Molba. As soon as they’re able to walk on two legs, they become nomad survivalists eager to explore the wilderness, experience its many wonders, put their skills to the test, and make new acquaintances.
Totrles age extremely quickly reaching what many would consider old age around 50, it is around this time Tortles tend to journey less and stay in one place, settling down. From this point until their eventual death, the Tortles will slowly begin to calcify until eventually they are statues, to be remembered by the younger generations.
It has been said that those in tune with nature can still hear the voices coming from these statues, each one able to offer ancient wisdom for those able to hear them.

Naming Traditions

Tortles prefer simple, non-gender-specific names that are usually no more than two syllables. If a tortle doesn’t like its name for whatever reason, it can change it. A tortle might change its name a dozen times in its life.
