The Gathering

Once every 5 years bards who keep their lore and tales of the past alive, storytellers and playwrights, find a small invitation brought in the web of a spider. Those recieving the invtation are instructed to follow directions given to them in spider webs until they find a small ravine in the mountains north of Esperia and west of Mystria. Here they will find themselves before the ancient spider Jilnpivah, each bard telling their tales, regailing the spider of the histories of the peoples and cultures of the world and bringing them new tales of more recent events and the individuals involved in them. While the tales are told Jilnpivah spins their web, creating a scroll made of spider silk recalling the tales taught at that gathering. It is said the bard who tells the greatest tale through whatever medium they desire may join Jilnpivah deep in their lair and pick one scroll to read, they may ask for a scroll that contains a specific tale or piece of lore they desire to learn or they can choose one at random. It is said the oldest of tales made before the first gathering even occured mkes up the very halls in which Jilnpivah lives.
