The Dark Lord

Deep in the Shadowlands lies a citadel built where the Dark One first fell millennia ago during the Dawn Era. This is the seat of the Dark Lord, ruler of the Shadowlands and all the creatures residing therein. He is the master of evil and darkness and the great enemy of the gods and mortals of Khinarzi. It is said he was one of the Dark One's most loyal and high ranking servants in the days of the first Shadowmarch and with his lord's demise, the Dark Lord rallied the forces under his master's banner and led them to rebuild and reorganise for the prolonged conflict to follow. Ever sice he has been the mastermind behind every plan and action that threatens the existence of the Five Kingdoms, and will not rest until he has claimed total victory over his foes. Recently the Dark Lord has been suspected of recuperating after being defeated by a band of heroes, for it had been believed he had been defeated for good. However in the years since there have been evidence the Dark Lord's hold on the forces of darkness remains and a build up has ben reported from the surviving members of the scouting parties sent out into the Shadowlands. One small note from the heroes who fought him relating how he became a creature of shadow and flame during the fight, this has lead many to speculate as to the nature of the Dark Lord.
