Khenra

Khenra are the youngest of the god created folk of Khinarzi, having only just come into being at the start of the Twilight Era. It is said they were created by the twin moon goddesses Kijmae’lu and Marfedivah, when the songs of Marfedivah were shaped by the dances of Kijmae'lu created the khenra from the weave itself. It is said it is why the khenra have such affinity for the moon and why they are often born as twins. The khenra are tall and lean, with graceful bodies and heads that strongly resemble jackals. Their snouts are long and sharp, and their angular ears rise straight above their heads. Their bodies are covered in dark, sleek hair that ranges from the brown of the desert sands to ebony black.
Khenra who lost their twin or are born without a twin are known to be more aggressive and foolhardy in fights. Those born alone are said to have been touched by Marfedivah and often even without outside intervention drawn towards the life of a hunter. Each one seemingly devoted to a life of constant conflict against the forces of darkness.
Due to their ties to the moon khenra are most often found in the Kingdom of Mystria and a few smaller enclaves in the Kingdom of Molba.
