Ishara and their Line

It is said that the line of Ishara is decended from the Raven Queen herself. This lineage of Godborn left the Kingdom of Thalavis to settle a region in the southwestern border of the Kingdom of Esperia. This would soon become known as the Duchy of the Gravelands. So called for the large number of graveyards and cemeteries containing the many who have died in defending the southern passes from the forces of the Shadowlands.
As the family has grown however only the direct line of Ishara has retained their godborn abilities, it is this line who are considered their heirs of Ishara and those in line to be the Patriarch or Matriarch of the family and the noble titles entailed. However it is common for the other members outside of that lineage to be priests, paladins, warlocks and rogues tied to the Raven Queen and her objectives. All these members having a tie to their ancestor in the form of a Quori bound to the Raven Queen (somesay as a large white raven found by her side), who communes with the family as to the Raven Queen wishes and keep the family connected. Instructions from the Raven Queen are also said to be delivered by the Sentinel Ravens found throughout the family keep of Raendow, with centuries of practice, the family is well practiced in their communion with the Sentinel Ravens, and the impressions granted in rest through their communion with Ishara.
The families primary duties are to serve the Raven Queen and can often be found at gravesites throughout the five kingdoms keeping an eye on the dead, ensuring proper funerary rite are carried out and that the dead are allowed to rest and not rise again. This is especially prevalent for the Gravelands where when certain winds blow from the Shadowlands the dead may rise again to attack the living.
The family not long after following the Raven Queen's command and settling in this area soon found themselves as a bulwark. For not long after the fabled Deathplague Shadowmarch arrived. While the Sentinel Tower was under siege, Ishara and their family and followers fought at a narrow point preventing the undead from passing into Esperia. For weeks they held using the powers of the Godborn and the marital training all the fellowship had from their training in the academies of Thalavis. Eventually the armies of Thalavis and Esperia rallied and came from their entrances of the southern passes to aid Ishara and lift the siege of the Sentinel Tower. It was this event that gave the line of Ishara their Duchy and has seen the family be so reknowned and respected across the kingdoms.
The Line of Ishara are associated with the Raven and the colours black and teal. It's current Patriarch is Princess Tolvishara, Princess of Fate, Godborn of the Raven Queen, Duke of the Gravelands, The Watcher of Raendow.
